DreamHost offers shared hosting and a separate managed WordPress route. This guide’s representative price concerns Web Hosting Launch. It should not be presented as a DreamPress plan or credited with every feature described for managed hosting elsewhere on the site.

We researched official public information, with the USD Launch offer rechecked on 16 October 2026. No host account, email service, migration or speed test was performed. USD was selected in the provider’s public pricing interface; purchaser eligibility and final tax remain to be confirmed.

What the Launch card describes

Launch lists 25 websites, 40,000 monthly visits, 25 GB NVMe storage and unmetered bandwidth, with daily backups, SSL and a first-year domain. Twenty mailboxes are free for three months only, after which mail is paid. Staging and CDN appear with managed DreamPress; do not assume those entitlements belong to the shared entry quote.

Initial annual reference and renewal

The official USD Launch offer checked on 16 October 2026 lists US$2.89 per month for the first 12 months. Multiplying that monthly equivalent by twelve gives US$34.68 before unverified tax, a calculated subtotal rather than an observed checkout invoice. The published continuing reference is US$10.99 per month; confirm the exact renewal payment period and final invoice before purchase.

The change from introductory to renewal rate is material to a continuing budget. A first-year domain also creates a later renewal expense, and the mailbox trial does not pay for permanent email. Ask for the full ongoing arrangement before selecting a plan based on the small introductory headline.

Multiple websites share the resources

If several sites use one hosting subscription, estimate their combined media storage and operating needs. A small portfolio and a busy shop are not interchangeable uses of a website slot. Avoid treating unmetered bandwidth as proof of unlimited computing resources; review the actual service limits for the selected product.

Before moving an existing site, test a copy and inspect articles, images, forms and access. Keep a recovery route and clarify which backups include the data you need. We have not tested those operations with DreamHost or independently established the speed, uptime or support quality of Launch.

For a business using the included mailbox trial, choose the continuing mail arrangement before the trial expires. Identify who receives billing notices, whether existing messages must move and which DNS records connect the mail service. The hosting purchase and email migration are separate operational steps.

Make the shared-versus-managed comparison explicit

Hostinger, SiteGround, Bluehost and hosting.com are shared-hosting candidates with different terms and renewal references.
