Cookie Policy
This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used by Pagember. The website is operated by Carlos Torres, a self-employed individual in Portugal. Contact geral@pagember.com about these arrangements. The Legal Notice identifies the publisher, and the Privacy notice explains personal-data processing and your rights.
Your choices
Optional Google Analytics stays off until you expressly accept analytics. Leaving the notice unanswered or choosing Reject optional cookies keeps it off. Closing the preferences panel does not give consent.
Open Cookie settings in the footer to review your choice. You can enable the Analytics option and select Save preferences, or use Reject optional cookies to withdraw. The initial notice also offers Accept analytics and Preferences. If the browser cannot save a valid preference, optional analytics remains off.
Withdrawal stops Analytics, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site and reloads the page to unload the tag. It does not, by itself, delete data already received by Google. Use the privacy contact above to exercise applicable data-protection rights. Browser controls can also remove cookies and other stored preferences; removing the consent preference makes the site ask again.
Storage used by the site
The preference entries below remember a choice or a feature you request. They are separate from optional measurement. Cookie settings cannot disable storage needed to record your cookie decision; you can remove it through browser controls.
| Name / technology | Purpose and provider | Duration / activation |
|---|---|---|
ep_cookie_consent_v1Local storage |
Pagember records the analytics choice, policy version and dates. This preference record does not contain a visitor identifier. | Up to 180 days after saving a choice. An expired or invalid choice does not enable analytics. |
ep_analytics_denied_v1Cookie |
Pagember fallback that remembers withdrawal when normal preference storage fails. | Up to 180 days, when the fallback is needed. |
pagember_marketRetired cookie |
Regional price selection has been removed. Pagember displays price references in US dollars and does not save a new market preference. | Any old preference cookie is cleared when you visit the site. |
pagember.decorative-effects.pausedSession storage |
Pagember remembers the animation preference you choose. | Current browser session. |
_ga and _ga_<container-id>Cookies |
Google Analytics distinguishes browsers and maintains session information for optional audience measurement. | Only after analytics consent. Analytics cookies are configured with a 180-day expiration period. Some analytics cookies may be updated on later visits, extending their expiry. Browser restrictions may shorten their lifetime. |
| WordPress authentication cookies | WordPress supports authorised administrator login. Reading public guides does not require an account or an administrator login. | During an administrator login/session, according to its login settings; not required for an ordinary reader. |
Optional audience measurement
With consent, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits and improve the publication. The tag removes query strings and fragments from page addresses and referrers, uses a generic title for site searches, and does not send a User-ID or contact details. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain disabled in this integration. The Privacy notice describes the data, recipients, retention and international transfers.
With analytics consent, Google Analytics measures page views and deliberate clicks on approved affiliate links. Click events contain the provider name, placement, destination purpose where known, destination hostname and page path. They do not contain full affiliate tracking URLs, referral or campaign identifiers, link text, purchases or payment information. They use the same optional analytics choice and existing Analytics cookies; the affiliate-click feature does not create an additional cookie. Rejecting or withdrawing analytics also disables these events.
Advertising and affiliate destinations
Google AdSense is not currently serving advertisements on Pagember. The Analytics preference is not consent to personalised advertising. Before activating advertising technologies that require consent, the relevant information and consent arrangements must be in place.
Affiliate buttons and supporting banners link to a provider or an affiliate platform. The supporting images used on Pagember are hosted on our own site; viewing one does not itself load a partner tracking pixel. If you follow an outbound link, the destination may receive a referral identifier and technical connection data, and may use its own cookies under its privacy and cookie notices. Pagember’s Cookie settings controls the optional analytics integration on this website, not cookies independently set after you visit another website.
