ActiveCampaign: Diagram showing Contacts, Automation. Campaign.

ActiveCampaign is a marketing-software candidate when the project has a specific automation workflow to maintain. Start with the sequence of actions and the owner responsible for it. A publication sending a simple digest may need less software than a business coordinating several marketing journeys.

This researched guide uses official public material checked on 7 October 2026. We have not configured an account, sent a campaign, tested an integration or measured deliverability. The live pricing interface did not resolve a verified selected quote in this research. We therefore distinguish an official entry reference from a captured checkout price.

What the Starter reference describes

The official GetResponse comparison page gives a US$15 Starter entry reference at 1,000 contacts. It does not establish the selected billing duration or upfront amount. Starter describes one user, up to five actions per automation and an email-send allowance of ten times the contact count. Landing pages are associated with Plus, so they should not be assumed in Starter.

What remains unconfirmed

The plan evidence leaves initial payment, commitment length and future renewal unconfirmed. A public entry amount is useful context, but it is not a substitute for a live quote with the chosen contacts, billing duration, currency and tax. We do not manufacture a total because a pricing widget failed to load.

For illustration, a ten-times send allowance at 1,000 contacts corresponds to 10,000 emails, if that selected tier uses the stated rule. The calculation does not establish delivery quality or permission to contact those addresses. Include automated messages as well as campaigns in the planned volume.

Reduce unnecessary automation work

Document the trigger, each action and the exit condition for a journey. Decide what happens when a reader unsubscribes, buys through a different route or changes an address. Those requirements help determine whether the software solves a real job instead of adding a workflow nobody can maintain.

Use a small sample journey to identify the required action count. A reminder, delay and follow-up can consume several steps before the intended result is reached. The entry limit is a reason to draw the workflow first, not an instruction to buy the largest tier automatically. We have not built that sample in ActiveCampaign.

Keep campaign software separate from the reply mailbox. Domain authentication and truthful consent records remain setup tasks. Before paying, evaluate a representative journey and signup/unsubscribe behavior with test addresses. We have not performed that evaluation or verified any claimed support response.

Compare complexity as well as the subscription

GetResponse, MailerLite, Kit, Brevo and AWeber provide different newsletter and automation arrangements. Compare the exact actions, user access, sending allowance and audience tier. A cheaper headline may omit a required feature; a larger suite may create work without improving a simple digest.

Our editorial inference is to shortlist ActiveCampaign when its documented capabilities fit a defined journey and a complete quote fits the budget. Skip a commitment until the selected price is confirmed. For a basic newsletter, evaluate a simpler or free option first.

Continue with the email-services explanation and the free-versus-paid newsletter comparison. This guide keeps unresolved calculator evidence visible.

Observed price evidence

The plan records below distinguish advertised rates, initial payment and renewal. Their source and observation context travel with each row. An unknown amount is left unconfirmed; this guide does not turn a promotion into a renewal promise.

How to read these prices

Compare the job, the full initial commitment and the renewal billing basis. Each company appears once. Open Change plan to view every recorded plan and term. Showing a plan does not change your two-plan comparison. The initial view uses a recorded non-trial option where available; it is not a ranking. Feature marks are tied to the documented plan, market, limits and billing conditions. Their check dates are independent from price rechecks. Europe is not one price or tax jurisdiction; select your actual billing country at checkout. These are researched public offers, not checkout quotes or hands-on tests. Currency values are not conversions. Listing order does not depend on commission.
