Webflow: Diagram showing Static site, CMS content. Choose the site type.

Webflow is a website-building and publishing option to evaluate when control over the design is an important requirement. Start by deciding whether the site is a small set of pages or a publication with repeated structured content. Those are different buying decisions: a static-site subscription should not be treated as a CMS plan.

This guide is researched from official pages checked on 7 October 2026. We have not built or published a Webflow site, tested its editor, or measured performance. The prices below are public USD references; billing country, taxes and a future invoice were not verified.

What Basic covers

The observed Basic site plan lists US$15 per month when billed annually, 300 static pages and 10 GB bandwidth. It does not include a CMS. The listed annual monthly equivalent gives a calculated US$180 across twelve months, which is not a checkout quote. Premium starts at US$25 per month with annual billing and includes CMS functionality; the exact content requirements must still be matched to its limits.

Do not mix the billing objects

Write down what you need to buy for the public site and what the people building it need. A quoted site price does not by itself establish every workspace, collaboration or account entitlement. Obtain the exact combination for the number of sites and editors, and ask how transferring a client’s site changes ownership and billing.

Bandwidth is another planning input. A page-heavy brochure site and a site serving large files can consume traffic differently. Keep large media requirements visible in the comparison instead of assuming a page allowance establishes unlimited delivery. We have not measured the consumption of any particular project on Webflow.

Evaluate the design workflow before committing

Use a representative layout with a long heading, real navigation labels and a narrow-screen view. If the project is editorial, also evaluate creating a second article, changing a category and maintaining a consistent article template. A design that looks good for one page can create substantial ongoing work when dozens of pages must be maintained.

Separate initial design work from the editor’s recurring tasks. Someone must be able to correct text, replace a picture and publish an update without redesigning the page each time. If a designer will hand over the site, agree which account owns it and what the editor can change safely. We have not verified that handover on a Webflow account.

Identify who owns the domain, who can publish, and who can recover the account. Before relying on a builder, check the current export and migration scope for the exact features used. Record what would need to be recreated elsewhere. Neither an affiliate listing nor a template preview proves that an exit path fits the project.

When another approach may fit better

A hosted builder such as Squarespace or Wix is worth comparing if the owner wants a different editing workflow. Self-hosted WordPress deserves a comparison for a publication, with hosting, updates, backups and editor permissions considered separately. Native WordPress blocks also provide a starting point without buying a paid page-building plugin.

Our editorial inference is to choose the content model first, then compare design effort and total operation cost. Skip Basic when a CMS is a core requirement; skip a larger plan when the extra capability has no defined job. Read the builder versus WordPress comparison and the builder budget guide before treating a monthly equivalent as the complete bill.

How to read these prices

Compare the job, the full initial commitment and the renewal billing basis. Each company appears once. Open Change plan to view every recorded plan and term. Showing a plan does not change your two-plan comparison. The initial view uses a recorded non-trial option where available; it is not a ranking. Feature marks are tied to the documented plan, market, limits and billing conditions. Their check dates are independent from price rechecks. Europe is not one price or tax jurisdiction; select your actual billing country at checkout. These are researched public offers, not checkout quotes or hands-on tests. Currency values are not conversions. Listing order does not depend on commission.
