NameSilo: Diagram showing Your .com, Renewal. Your account.

NameSilo is a domain-registrar option to investigate when the business wants to keep the domain account distinct from its hosting service. The decision should include the standard continuing price, account recovery and DNS management. A conditional discount is useful context, but it is not the unconditional retail bill.

We researched official public information on 7 October 2026. No domain was registered, renewed or transferred, and no support response was measured. The pricing page’s renewal tab was checked; the standard .com retail reference for the 1–49 band was US$17.29 for registration and renewal.

Keep retail and discounted references apart

The standard .com row uses US$17.29 for one year and the same observed renewal reference. A US$11.05 discount-program amount is conditional and is not the default price for an ordinary new buyer. Verify the current requirements and payment arrangement before deciding that a discount applies to your account.

Understand the service boundary

The official pricing description includes privacy, forwarding and DNS tools. They support domain management; they do not establish that the site’s hosting, business inbox or marketing platform is paid for. Keep each service’s renewal and operator responsibility visible instead of assuming a domain bundle covers the project.

When connecting an existing website, preserve the records used by email and other services. DNS changes affect more than the homepage. Keep a copy of the current values and follow the new service’s specific instructions; this guide has not configured a NameSilo zone or tested a migration.

The business must retain access

Choose an owner-controlled recovery route and assign responsibility for expiry notices. If a contractor builds the website, the domain account still needs an agreed business ownership arrangement. Keep transfer authorization and billing access separate from allowing another person to edit site content.

Before transferring a name, check the current extension rules and account restrictions. Confirm whether the transfer includes an extra term and when a lock or recent change may delay the move. A standard public price is not proof that every particular domain can transfer today.

Write a short domain inventory with the registrar, renewal date, billing owner and services using the name. That can prevent a forgotten domain from disappearing when a staff member leaves. Store account recovery details privately; a public contact page is not an appropriate place for administrator or billing credentials.

Compare the same conditions

Namecheap and Dynadot are additional candidates. Show registration, renewal and any applicable privacy charges together, with discounts in a conditional column. Comparing NameSilo’s discount with another registrar’s retail price while hiding qualification would be misleading.

Our editorial inference is to shortlist NameSilo when its actual account quote and control workflow suit the owner. Skip a purchase when the desired name or continuing renewal is unaffordable. Domain registration is a commitment to maintain access and expiry, not simply a cheap first click.

Continue with choosing a registrar, business control of the domain and separating the name and host.

How to read these prices

Compare the job, the full initial commitment and the renewal billing basis. Each company appears once. Open Change plan to view every recorded plan and term. Showing a plan does not change your two-plan comparison. The initial view uses a recorded non-trial option where available; it is not a ranking. Feature marks are tied to the documented plan, market, limits and billing conditions. Their check dates are independent from price rechecks. Europe is not one price or tax jurisdiction; select your actual billing country at checkout. These are researched public offers, not checkout quotes or hands-on tests. Currency values are not conversions. Listing order does not depend on commission.
